After eight years together, my husband and I have recently begun using a vibrator. Prior to this, we had wonderful sex. After a few weeks of "good vibrations," I believe he became intimidated. He is a sturdy 6.5 inches, while our new bedfellow is a perfect 10. It is no problem for me to insert the entire length, nor is it a problem (with additional lubrication) to have both him and the vibrator inside me.

The problem is that now he feels he's too small, and though no complaints have been mentioned about my size, he is convinced that he is not satisfying me. I have tried to explain that the vagina grows to accommodate, as well as shrinks, but he wants a second opinion.

Which is why I'm writing. Slap some sense into this man so we can get back to the bedroom...

Thanks,
Jane

Consider it done. Slap! Slap! Get back to the bedroom and stop worrying about this.

Your wife is correct. The vagina is designed to expand and contract to fit almost any size penis. Not to mention the fact that the inner two-thirds of the vagina have very few nerve endings. It can be fun to play with a large dildo or vibrator, but that does not mean in any way that your wife is not satisfied with you or your penis size.

Honestly. Keep obsessing about this, though, and I guarantee it will become a major problem. Instead, simply enjoy all the fun varieties of sex you and your wife can have with or without a vibrator. Besides, there is no vibrator anywhere that can compare to a good human lover.

how many positions exist?

How many sexually positions are there really? I've heard all sorts of different answers.

Regards,
Chris

Hello Chris,

You have heard all sorts of different numbers because there is no exact number. I have seen books that claim to show 101, 500, or even 1001 sexual positions. The reality, however, is that there are essentially a few basic positions with virtually endless variations.

If you want to do your own little chart of the major sexual positions, simply pick one from each of the following options. In fact, if you want, pick a random combination to try next time.

Who is on top or in front?
Which way is the partner on top or the front facing?
Which direction is the other person facing?
Are either or both partners kneeling or sitting?
Are either or both partners standing?
Where are your legs and your partner's legs?
Where are your hands and your partner's hands?
Is any furniture being used (e.g. bed, rocking chair, table, hammock)?
So, let's try an example. Let us say the woman is on top, with the man sitting on a couch and the woman sitting facing away from the man with her legs on either side of her partner's (his legs are together). This is a position sometimes referred to as "reverse cowgirl." Of course, you can create endless variations such as the woman leaning back, forward, or perhaps changing where the man's hands are.

So don't worry too much about memorizing a certain number of positions. Simply have fun, be creative, and enjoy yourselves.

unable to feel ejaculate

Recently, my fiancé asked me if I could "feel" him when he ejaculates. Quite honestly, I can't say that I have. This has left him feeling a little uncomfortable thinking that he is doing something wrong. My question is, should I be able to "feel" him when he ejaculates?

Please help,
Christine

Guys, listen up: Women usually cannot feel you ejaculating. Only in porn films do women scream in ecstasy from the sensation.

The vagina is sensitive to fine touch only on the outer third. Thus, if a man ejaculates deep inside the vagina, it will be hitting areas that are only able to detect far more heavy pressure. In addition, the contractions of the penis are quite subtle on the outside. It may feel like an earthquake to you, but to a woman, it doesn't usually feel like much.

The situation is different when the tables are turned. Many men can feel it when a woman is having an orgasm because her vaginal walls can clamp down rather tightly on the penis. The penis is quite sensitive to fine touch over the entire length and the pressure of the vaginal walls is far stronger. Perhaps this is why your partner thinks that you should be able to feel his orgasm. However, even then, many men cannot feel a woman's orgasm, and this is okay too. Your partner needs to relax and realize that this is totally normal. Neither he nor you are doing anything wrong. Just enjoy the fact that you are having orgasms with each other.
